Lots of Progress

Just a wonderful time of the year. The weather is cooling off, and entering a brand new season. My book is complete and just about ready to be presented to some publishers. A new marketing project with a former business partner is going well.

Wishing you the very best success as we close out this wonderful year.

Wonderful Autumn

As Autumn approaches I look forward to the seasonal change, and an opportunity to reflect upon all the wonderful experiences throughout the year. Also can gather up all that I learned from the challenges that presented themselves this year, and how I was able to learn and grow as a result.

Have many new business projects in the works, as well as finishing up on the book project and meeting with some people to discuss the formation and promotion of some workshops.

Everyone enjoy the weekend, and the approaching Fall season.

Stay blessed.

Back From My Travels

Had a tremendous time traveling throughout Arizona with friends. Lots of wonderful sights and experiences. Currently back in California and finishing up editing of book, and putting on some final touches. Will be meeting with book publisher soon.

Also in process of putting together some workshops on communicating effectively with children. Breaking the ice and forming a trusting relationship and bond is key. Creating a format that is both practical and fun to learn and apply.

Have some other business projects in the works, so will be limiting my own one-on-one consulting. May do some teleconferences.

That's it for now. Be blessed.

Final Draft

Final draft of the book is in process. Making sure things flow together so that I can, to the best of my ability, make the information as practical and real as possible. Having worked directly with children and parents for so many years, I intuitively select the best strategy and approach. At this point I feel my way through the process, seizing the best window of opportunity where the strategy can be most effective. The challenge of the book is to put this in words so that anyone can easily apply these techniques. Also working on an extensive resource section.

Enjoy the moment,

Joseph William

First Draft Completed

The first draft of my book on creating the ideal context in order to communicate effectively with children about uncomfortable issues is now complete. Will now begin the editing process, and the Q & A chapter is a work in progress. Have addressed some of the most frequent questions that I have received from parents and caregivers over the years, but now is the time to ask whatever is most pressing for you in dealing with your child's behavior and/or in how to best communicate. Email your question(s) direct to me at stristus@gmail.com

Will keep you advised. All the very best.

eBook Coming Together

My eBook on using communication to break down resistance with children is coming together nicely. Just met with a publisher for hard copy distribution. Will be putting all the chapters together in the next few weeks. Majority of the research is done. Just meeting with a few more professionals that are specialists with certain conditions and interventions to round out the content. Will keep you advised.

Be well,

Joseph William

Free Email Series Complete

Well it's been a few weeks, but my new email series on managing and dealing with defiance in children is now available. Go to http://overcomingdefiance.com to receive your FREE series of emails. These emails are designed to put you in the driver's seat when dealing with the defiant behavior of children. They are spread out over eight (8) days, and will give you the basic fundamentals for you to help your child manage their anger and defiance.

I am currently writing an extensive workbook that goes into more detail on implementing behavior strategies on a consistent basis. The area of communication will be dealt with extensively as this is the key to success in managing your child's behavior, and developing the trust needed to help your child heal. This workbook is intended for both parents and childcare professionals.

Any questions you wished addressed in the Q & A section of the book, please advise by contacting me at stristus@gmail.com I will reply directly to you, but your experiences can also be helpful to others as well.

That's it for now. All the very best to you.

Greetings

Welcome everyone to Joseph William's Corner; a place to relax and share any thoughts, ideas, or concerns along the lines of personal development and childcare issues. My current project is an ebook, which is soon to be released, addressing strategies on communicating with defiant children about challenging subjects. Learning to talk to kids about sensitive issues can feel like pulling teeth at times. But "getting our own act together" and having a viable game plan is always more advisable than just "winging it". At least it's a heck of a lot more pleasurable.

In the close to twenty (20) years of work in residential and family settings, I continue to learn and grow with every contact with every child. Approaching our interactions with our children with an open mind is paramount to dealing effectively with integrity and truth. Establishing rapport and trust is the key to making a difference.

Feel free to suggest any topics you wish to see covered in my book, and upcoming workshops. Although this ebook will establish a strong foundation for parents and workers in the field, let me know if there are any particularly urgent issues that you wish to be addressed in more detail.

Also within the next week or two I will have a Free Email Series covering some of these fundamentals. I will also sprinkle in a few antidotes from working in the trenches over the years, that I think you will find both useful and entertaining.

That's it for now. Embrace the Moment!

Ciao,

Joseph William
